“If a job requires greater corrosion resistance than grade 304 can provide, grade 316 is the ‘next step up’. Grade 316 has virtually the same mechanical, physical, and fabrication characteristics as 304, with better corrosion resistance, particularly to pitting corrosion in chloride environments”Australian Stainless Steel Development Association (ASSDA)

Stronger fixing system

Xceed uses the same CommandeX patented fixing method as BasiX, SecureView Eclipx and SaltWaterSeries, the only system of its kind in the Australian market.
fixing

  • 3M®’s High Performance VHB® Adhesive Bonding – The acrylic chemistry of the VHB adhesive eliminates the need for rivets and screws, distributing the load across the full bond line rather than concentrating stress at individual fixing points
  • Keyway Fixing System – creates the precise pressure required to activate the adhesive, while keeping the panel and aluminium frame separated.
  • No galvanic corrosion risk – dissimilar metals never make contact
  • Exceeds AS5039-2023 – The fixing system surpasses the Australian Standard Impact Test requirements, independently tested and verified

Compliance and specification confidence

  • Tested and compliant to AS5039-2023 (security screens) and AS5039.2:2024 (installation)
  • Suitable for Kids Fallsafe Screens applications
  • Not currently tested for bushfire (AS3959) or cyclone (AS/NZS1170.2) resistance, for these applications, SecureView Eclipx or SaltWaterSeries are the specified products
  • Ready-to-use tender document wording and CAD files available by calling 1300 720 838 to get access.

Built for the long term
