CommandeX security screen door are independently tested and exceed Australian Standards AS5039-2023. All doors are custom manufactured to exact measurements by licensed dealers and installed to AS5039.2:2024.
For properties in challenging environments, the SaltWaterSeries is specifically engineered for homes within 500 metres of the coastline, iron rich red dust areas and heavy industrial environments. The only dedicated extreme security screen product in Australia.
316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel Mesh
All CommandeX woven stainless steel security doors use 316 marine grade stainless steel mesh with 940 MPa tensile strength. The molybdenum content in 316 mesh provides superior resistance to salt spray and chloride corrosion compared to 304 grade mesh, without relying on extra coatings or treatments to compensate. Patented Keyway Fixing System
CommandeX’s patented fixing system uses 3M VHB aerospace adhesive and a two-part wedge with zero metal on metal contact, eliminating galvanic corrosion at the fixing point entirely.
Triple Lock Compliance
To meet AS5039-2023, security screen doors must be fitted with a three-point locking system. A single lock does not meet the standard and results in a barrier or safety door rather than a genuine security door. Learn more about the difference between a single lock and a triple lock.
